CCW RENEWAL COURSE (now 8 hours due to SB2) (Seat availability changes frequently due to moves and classroom changes)

SACRAMENTO, SAN JOAQUIN, PLACER, YOLO, CONTRA COSTA Counties and Cities of WEST SACRAMENTO, WINTERS, WOODLAND and RIPON 8-HOUR CCW RENEWAL LEGAL UPDATE CLASS

Location:  This Course will be at The Gun Range in North Highlands (3479 Orange Grove Ave) 
    NOTE: If you have never used the Gun Range facility to shoot, you must register using this link The Gun Range shooting disclosure before you can shoot your qualification - do this before you arrive at the range. 

Online Registration is REQUIRED as seating is limited.  Do not sign up for a class that is more than 45 days from your permit expiration.

• Range - Shooting qualification / live firing
• CCW renewal application - Forms, Weapon checks and verification
• Defensive focused shooting
• Drawing from Concealment - in class review
• Mental Health discussion
• Legal Overview - use of Deadly Force, Scenario Review, discussion 
• Legal Update - Right to self defense, penal codes, New California requirements, sensitive places, etc
• Go No Go review/update
• Written Test

• Current CCW Permit
• Eye and Ear Protection
• All firearms that will be listed on the CCW permit for range qualification (currently this is limited to three handguns in Sacramento, San Joaquin, Placer, Yolo Counties and the Cities of West Sacramento; Ripon and Winters are limited to five handguns; Contra Costa County is limited to two handguns
• All ammunition required for qualification - 50 rounds per handgun
• Magazines/speed loaders - Three Magazines per gun (two will work) and two speed loaders/strips per revolver
• One concealment holster currently used for one of your guns

• Minimum Age Requirement:  21 years or older
• No open toed shoes on range
• No loaded guns in the classroom - all guns must be checked by staff before entering classroom. If you are carrying when you enter the store, let staff know that you need to unload and they'll take you on the range to perform the clearing of your firearm.
