CCW RENEWAL COURSE

SACRAMENTO, EL DORADO, YOLO, and SAN JOAQUIN Counties 4-HOUR CONCEALED FIREARM LEGAL UPDATE REFRESHER COURSE

Location:  This Course will be at The Gun Range in North Highlands (3479 Orange Grove Ave) 
    NOTE: If you have never used the Gun Range facility to shoot, you must register on the terminals at the entrance before you can shoot your qualification - arrive a little early to get this part done. 

Online Registration is REQUIRED as seating is limited.  Do not sign up for a class that is further than 45 days from your permit expiration.

• Range - Shooting qualification / live firing:Legal Overview - use of deadly force
  • Sacramento County - all stages are timed fire
  • El Dorado, Yolo, San Joaquin Counties - course of fire is not timed
• Legal Overview - use of deadly force
• Legal Update - California & Federal gun laws

• Targets
• Range fee for qualification

• Eye and Ear Protection
• All firearms that will be listed on the CCW permit for range qualification (currently this is limited to three handguns in Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Yolo Counties)
• All ammunition required for qualification:
  • Sacramento - minimum course of fire - 50 rounds per handgun
  • El Dorado, Yolo, San Joaquin - minimum course of fire - 30 rounds per handgun
• Magazines/speed loaders:
  • Sacramento - Three magazines per semi-auto pistol and two speed loaders/strips per revolver - all stages are timed fire
  • El Dorado, Yolo, and San Joaquin - Two magazines per semi-auto pistol and a speedloader per revolver - course of fire is not timed

• Minimum Age Requirement:  21 years or older
• No open toed shoes on range
• No loaded guns in the classroom - all guns must be checked by staff before entering classroom
• Recommend no loose or low cut blouses or shirts while shooting
