California Initial CCW 16-hour 2-Day Course (Location: Laguna Shooting Center, Elk Grove)
CCW PERMIT - CARRY CONCEALED WEAPON PERMIT COURSE
For general information on the CCW permit process and to start an online application with the county sheriff or chief of police, read our CCW FAQ page. You should have already started your application with the county sheriff or chief of police, and have had your initial interview in most cases, before taking this course.
- California Residents of: Sacramento, San Joaquin, Placer, Yolo, and Contra Costa Counties and Cities of West Sacramento, Winters, Woodland, Pittsburg, and Ripon
- Out of State Non-Residents who have applied to the Sheriffs' or Chiefs' of one of the counties or cities above AND who can attend the course in person.

Students Must Bring:
- Eye and Ear Protection
- All firearms that will be listed on the CCW permit for range qualification (currently this is limited to three handguns for most counties)
- Ammunition required for qualification - 35 rounds per gun
- Magazines / Speed Loaders - two magazines per semi-auto and one speed loader/strip per revolver (out-of-state students should not bring magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds in the state of California)
- Additional ammunition and range fee on the first day if you wish to practice prior to qualification on the second day.

Location: Laguna Shooting Center (2220 Kausen Dr, Elk Grove)
- Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years or older
- No open toed shoes on range
- No loaded guns in the classroom - all guns must be checked by staff before entering classroom
- Recommend no loose or low cut blouses or shirts while shooting
FEE: $255 - Includes Target, Range Fees, Documents, Certificates, and Qualification for up to 3 Guns

Course of Fire: This will be the Sacramento County COF for all participants which requires 35 rounds per gun. All qualification stages are timed fire and you will need two magazines per semi-auto gun and a speed loader or speed strips for each revolver. |
